1. The Basics

You’ve got 15 days from the delivery date to return items for a refund or exchange. All returned items must be:

  • In original condition (like new, with tags still attached)
  • In original packaging (protect it like you would your board)
  • Accompanied by proof of purchase (your order number works perfectly)

Non-Returnable Items:

Some of our gear is like that perfect wave – once it’s yours, it’s yours forever:

  • DING REPAIR KIT (for obvious reasons – once opened, it’s used)
  • DVDs & BOOKS (unless they arrive damaged)
  • Personalized items (customized just for you)
  • Items marked as final sale (we’ll always tell you upfront)

2. The Return Process (Easy as Paddling Out)

  1. Email Us at [email protected] with your return request within 15 days of receiving your order. Use our template below to make it super easy.
  2. Wait for Approval – We’ll respond within 2 business days with return instructions (usually faster than the swell forecast).
  3. Pack It Up – Securely package your items using the original packaging if possible. Include all tags and accessories.
  4. Ship It Back – Send the package to our Seattle headquarters (we’ll provide the exact address in our email).

Return Shipping:

You’re responsible for return shipping costs unless the item arrived damaged or was our mistake (then we’ve got you covered like a good wetsuit). We recommend using a trackable shipping service – losing your gear in transit would be worse than losing your board in the surf!

3. Refunds (Getting Your Cash Back)

Once we receive and inspect your return (usually within 3-5 business days after arrival):

  • Timing: Refunds process within 5 business days after approval. It may take 1-2 billing cycles to appear on your statement – like waiting for the tide to change.
  • Method: Refunds go back to your original payment method (Visa, MasterCard, JCB, or PayPal).
  • Shipping Costs: Original shipping fees are non-refundable unless the return is due to our error.

4. Exchanges (Swapping for the Right Gear)

Need a different size or color? No problem! The exchange process is similar to returns:

  1. Follow the return process above
  2. In your email, specify what you’d like instead
  3. We’ll process the exchange once we receive your original item

If the exchange item costs more, you’ll pay the difference. If it costs less, we’ll refund the difference – fair as the morning offshore winds.
